JESUS CHRIST IS GOD

Colossians 1:15-18 (KJV) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Colossians 2:9 (KJV) For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

Knowledge is power! To know Jesus, the one you believe is to have power. Who is Jesus? He is God. In our short passage, Paul is telling us to believe in Jesus who is God. He is the image of God; the one we cannot see with our eyes. Jesus is the revelation of God to the people of the world. He is equal to God because He is God. The nature of God, the character of God and the equality of God are all in Him. He came from heaven. He is not made of dusts like ordinary men that is why he did not see corruption nor suffer decay in the grave like all other mortal men.

Jesus Christ is the Savior, Messiah and King of Kings. He is the Word that was in the beginning who called all things to be and was created. He created both the heaven and the earth. He also created the spirit world. He created Lucifer before he became Satan and was thrown out of heaven. All demons are subject to His authority. When Jesus is in your life as your God, you should not be afraid of anything. Jesus is the Alfa (the Beginning) and the Omega (the End). All must fear and obey Him. Jesus is the pillar holding the world together. All power and all authority belong to Jesus. He is the Supreme Judge.

The name of Jesus is powerful (Phil2:9-11KJV Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father) but it CANNOT work for you unless you know Him as God of heaven and earth. Some people refuse to know Him as God of heaven and earth. They prefer to call Him the son of Mary and Joseph. Some know the Jesus that was crucified and died on the cross. They do not know the risen Jesus who is now seated on his throne in heaven. Jesus is God because the bible tells us so in Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

The Media - Boiled Frogs!

Romans 12:1,2(KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
If you put a frog in water and then slowly boil it, it won't jump out because it doesn,t notice the gradually rising temperature. The media (music, movies, magazines, TV, radio, and the internet) can also slowly kill our values and walk with God - without us even realising it. Dangerous messages come our way everyday that attack our purity and faith. Message like "sleep around!"..."if you are angry, then hurt the one that made you angry!"..."get rich, beautiful and famous then you'll be happy!"..."all religions lead to God"..."don't let anyone tell you how to live your life!"...and "God and faith are so old fashioned!" Lets learn how to jump away from the lies and avoid these harmful influences!

ARE YOU TOO BUSY? -THE DEVIL'S CONVENTION-

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons. In his opening address he said, "We can't keep Christians from going to church. We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their savior. Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken. So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners, but steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a prayer life and a relationship with Jesus Christ."This is what I want you to do", said the devil; "Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!" "How shall we do this?" his demons shouted. "Keep them busy in the nonessentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds," he answered. "Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow." "Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles." "Keep them from spending time with their children. Keep the kids occupied with violent video games and TV shows. As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!" "Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice. Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive...To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly. This will jam their minds and keep them away from prayer time." "Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers. Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day. Invade their driving moments with billboards. Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes." "Keep skinny, emaciated models on the magazine covers for Christian women to buy. Convince them that they are not beautiful. Make them insecure. Convince their husbands that outward beauty is what's important, so that they'll become dissatisfied with their wives." "Bring discord. Bring tension, arguments, stress, kids fighting, husbands and wives arguing about money...That will fragment their families quickly!"
"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive. Have them return from their recreation exhausted. Keep them too busy to
go out in nature and reflect on God's creation. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead. Keep them busy, busy and busy! And when they meet for Bible fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences." "Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to spend time with Jesus. Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause."
"It will work! It will work!” the demons shouted.

It was quite a plan! The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there.
Having little time for their God or their families. Having no time to tell others the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. I guess the question is, has the devil been successful at his scheme?
You be the judge!
Does "busy" mean:

B-Being U-Under S-Satan's

Y-Yoke?

Please pass this on,

if you aren't too BUSY!

The Wrong Answer at Heaven's Gate!

Imagine that you died today and were brought face to face with God at the gate of heaven. If He asked you the question, "Why should I let you into heaven?" -- what would you say? Would you reply, in so many words, that you had lived a decent life, that you had tried to help people...that you had done the best that you could?

Perhaps you would say that you had given your money to good causes, that you had gone to church or chapel regularly, and that you had been an exemplary neighbor. Or would you tell God that He should let you into heaven because you had responded to an altar call, that you had signed a decision card, and had been baptized and had been a faithful member of your church?

What would you say if I told you that, based on responses like these, God would not and could not let you into Heaven? All of these answers -- and many more like them -- reveal one very sad and important thing about those who believe that these things will see them through the gate's of heaven -- they believe that good works will save them from hell. But what does the Bible say?

God's Word says that it is "not by works of righteousness that we have done" that we are saved from the judgment of God (Titus 3:5). Salvation from sin and hell can never be obtained by trying to live a good life or keep the Ten Commandments. God's law can only condemn you; it cannot save you. It demands perfect obedience which neither you nor anyone else can give because every man is born into this world a sinner, without any power to meet the demands of God's holy law.

Remember, it only takes the breaking of one of God's commandments to condemn a man to hell forever. "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all" (James 2:10). Tragically, many people imagine that God is just going to "wink" at all their sins and let them into heaven. After all, it is argued, He is a God of love and mercy and would never condemn anyone to hell who had tried to do their best.

But while God is certainly One who is "full of compassion", yet He is also a God who is full of justice. "And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity..." (Isaiah 13:11). His own holy nature demands that every sin be punished. The Bible says that, in the eyes of God, "all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6). Therefore, if your present hope for heaven is your "good life", you have no ground for hope at all.

But there is good news! God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, left heaven and came into this world to save those would could never save themselves. He was crucified on a Cross in order to take the wrath of God in the place of sinners like you. God the Father punished sin in Christ on Calvary...not for sin that He had committed, but for the sins of others. "He was wounded for our transgresssions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5).

Not only do you need someone who can take away the punishment of God for your sin, but you need someone who can make you perfectly righteousness in the eyes of a holy and just God. This is why CHRIST is the only Savior of sinners. As the God-Man, He kept perfectly that law of God that you could not keep. And if you will lean your whole weight on what He has done for your savation and on His righteousness, God will accept you as righteous for Christ's sake. He will save you.

Christ states the matter very plainly, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me" (John 14:6). Read those words again..."the way." Jesus Christ is not one of many ways to God the Father and heaven, He is the one and only way. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If you do not go to Him and take the salvation that He -- even now -- freely offers you, then you must, upon your death, personally bear the wrath of God in hell forever. The factor that determines where you will spend eternity depends on whether or not you have trusted in Christ alone to save you.

Call upon the Lord Jesus Christ right now where you are. Confess to Him that you are indeed a sinner that deserves to be punished, that you have no good works that could ever make you acceptable, and that you have no power whatsoever to save yourself. But then plead the gospel truth that Jesus Christ came to seek and to save those who could not save themselves. Ask Christ to save you from your sin and the judgment to come. Go to Him even now for He said, "...him that cometh unto me, I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37).
